Unreleased song

I wrote this song back in 2018 for a friend who at the time was going through it. I was close with this person and wanted to encourage them not to give up or deviate from the path that they were on, but during that time I was unable to sing it they way I intended so I left it aside. Also, we had a falling out in 2019. Then in 2021, I decided to finally cut the vocals, I paid to have it mixed and mastered, and I was going to release the song as extra content because I believe the message of this song is beautiful and it was one of my first songs I ever wrote (albeit not the greatest).

But then during the time I was planning out the visual video, the person who I had written this song for emerged with hate accounts on instagram targeting me, disparaging my name, harassing me, cyber-bulling me, and stalking me along with their family. I actually find all of that hilarious now because in my mind was all like “I’m gonna release this beautiful song I wrote about someone I used to be close with cuz F it I still mean what I said” and then out of nowhere, years after we stopped being friends, and for no reason, they basically popped up hiding behind hate accounts telling me to go kill myself. LMAO. So I was like “welp if ever there was a sign to not release this guess this is it.” So I made “idk y u still hate me” instead.

Both songs are about unconditional love though and while the person who was intended to hear this song will never hear it or value it… (and inevitably & regrettably succumbed to everything I was warning about in this song) I have a ton of new brothers in my life who will. So now I dedicate this song to all of those dudes who hopefully will not one day create hate pages of me on Instagram and try to attack and abuse me lol. This is “Brother” by Brandon Andre.
